Welcome to all my beloved brothers and sisters.
Mutual duties between brothers
Let’s see basic truths established in the word of God, to the relationship between the brothers in Christ.
“A new commandment I give you: Love one another as I have loved you, that ye also love one another. By this shall all men know that ye are my disciples, if ye have love one to another” John 13:34 y 35
How I loved you? How can we make this a reality in our lives…?
“Now hope does not disappoint, because the love of God has been poured out in our hearts by the Holy Spirit who was given to us” Romans 5:5
The Lord gives us this commandment of love and the power to do the commandment, the love of God was poured out in our hearts, the old man does not know what to do with him, the love of God has to be developed in the new man created according to God in righteousness and true holiness. Ephesians 4:24.
Dear brothers, let us meditate on this: “As I have loved you” the Lord loved us so much that he gave his life for us, and commands us to love us so that we are able to give our lives for our brother, thousands of brothers did not discover this secret glorious gospel, is why we see so much division among the people of God, so we need to understand this: How do you feel if you love your brother as the Lord commands? Talk to God and tell him that this love be developed in you, if you wish with all your heart, God will do it, and then discover the true taste of the blessed gospel, try it because it is the will of God that we love as well, who has to develop this love in us is God, and will be a blessing in your life if you want, because God cannot fail.
“Love one another with brotherly love, in honor giving preference to one another” Romans 12:10
When you learn to love your brothers with the love of God, then you will see the value of a brother in Christ, understand that cost the same price as you, and then you will be happy with your company and will want the best things for him.
Living in Harmony
The psalmist says: Behold, how good and how pleasant it is brethren to dwell together in unity! Psalm 133:1
How will be a delight to be with our brothers if do not love them? But the psalmist says: “Good and delicious” How far is the church today from this truth, the essence of the gospel is the love of God, and God wants us to discover all the hidden treasures, waste as not understanding the glorious truth of the gospel, how many preachers teach the Lord’s people to seek earthly things, they are looking down like chickens, there is much talk of material prosperity but the apostle says:
If then you were raised with Christ, seek those things which are above, where Christ is, sitting at the right hand of God. Set your mind on things above, not on things on the earth Colossians 3:1-2.
In the chapter of Genesis 13:8, we have a great example of ‘how to live in’ harmony among brothers. Abraham said to Lot: “Let there be no strife between you two, between my herdsmen and your herdsmen, for are brothers”
The cattle had multiplied and both had problem among pastors, but Abraham said: Let’s not fight among ourselves because we are brothers, and this is not good, because God wants to bless you both. The blessing of God is for all his children, so the Apostle Paul says: “Why you do not suffer rather takes wrong” 1 Corinthians 6:7
When we understand these things, we pray for those brothers who trespass against us because the problem is of those who do evil, not the recipient, and not in all brothers God’s work is made at the same time, those who are mature should stand to the children.
The Brothers should forgive
“Then Peter came and said: Lord, how many times shall I forgive my brother when he sins against me? Up to seven? Jesus said: I tell you, not seven times, but seventy times seven” Matthew 18:21, 22
Do you know how many siblings never forgive? Not only we have to ask for forgiveness, we must learn to forgive each other offenses, Peter said as expecting to be praised by the Lord because of his generosity to forgive seven times, but the divine answer was seventy times seven. Beloved brother, have you learned to forgive your brother?
Know, love is the greatest of all might, because the love of God in us makes us love our enemies who hate us and love overcome evil with good. Romans 12:21.
Paul says, “And be ye kind one to another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God for gave you in Christ” Ephesians 4:32
When the love of God develops in us, to forgive is a glorious delight. Have you tried it?
TREATED WITH CHARITY
“And the King shall answer and say unto them, verily I tell you, whatever you did for one of these my brethren, you did for me” Matthew 25:40
We can see from this passage, that when we do something for our brothers, we do for the Lord, and this is something we need to understand, because the gospel is a life and we must live it. When we practice the biblical doctrines, we experience things which we never felt before, that is, when we put our hearts to God to develop the new life in us we feel the true flavor, is if you will have a meal that you never tasted before, but when you try it and start to taste you like it, you would like more, the new life is like this, when you discover the taste, you will not want more of the old one, and the real flavor of the gospel is to serve; Jesus came to serve.
“But whoever has this world’s goods and sees his brother in need, and closes his heart against him, how can the love of God be in him?” 1 John 3:17
How many never help their brothers when they are in need, some say: “He is in sin, so they lack” and in many cases is true but God allows this to happened give us the opportunity to understand is more blessed to give than to receive first he gave us for us to give to him.
“My little children, let us not love with words or tongue, but indeed and in truth” 1 John 3:18
It’s very easy to say that we love our brothers, but many with their deeds deny it. Beloved brother: Do you meet these duties as a Christian? Perhaps you say I give to my brothers but to whom? What’s that you want, or in need? We’re talking about duties, not what we want or think we need to do, the word of God is to obey, not to judge according to our view, “Glory to God”
TREATED WITH JUSTICE
The apostle Paul says: “For in it the righteousness of God is revealed from faith to faith: as it is written: The just shall live by faith” Romans 1:17
That’s why we call “doctrines to new life in Christ” because God’s justice cannot be revealed to the flesh, but by faith in the new creature, God’s righteousness was imputed to us when we believed.
“Him who knew no sin, we did sin, that we might become the righteousness of God” 2 Corinthians 5:21
This means that the blood of Christ has made us fair and that justice must walk, and treat our brothers fairly and not of men but of God. We should not treat our brothers in our righteousness filthy rags (Isaiah 64:6) and this must be understood, because how much injustice is committed among Christians, in the home, parents and children, brothers against brothers. There are things parents tolerate a child who will not tolerate another, his own righteousness. We are fair, as such we should walk.
VISITED
“After some days Paul said to Barnabas return to visit our brethren in every city where we have preached the word of the Lord, and see how they are” Acts 15:36
We see that the brothers have to visit. Some teach that the brothers do not have to visit because they say that problems start but that is of the flesh. The Bible teaches that we should be together.
“Speaking to yourselves in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody in your hearts to the Lord” Ephesians 5:19
So, we have to discover the wonderful secrets of the new life in Christ, the visit between brothers in Christ is because in heaven we will be together, and they do not want to be with their brothers here on earth, how it will be in heaven? Furthermore, when we visit, we see the need of our brothers, whether spiritual or material, to pray together, read the Bible, encouraged, stimulated, exhort, because we have received one spirit, one love, we are of the same father and going to the same place.
“That all may be one, as You, Father, in me, and I in thee, that they also may be one in us: that the world may believe that thou Sent” John 17:21
Beloved, we must be willing to visit and be together because this is the will of God. If you are not doing it is because you have not understood the glorious truth of his word.
“All who believed were together, and had all things in common” Acts. 2:24
RESTORE THE WAYWARD
“Brethren, if a man be overtaken in a fault, you who are spiritual, restore in spirit of gentleness” Galatians 6:1
Another Christian duty is to restore that fouled. How many today cannot understand that this is a must, the word of God commands us who are living a life in the Spirit should restore those who are caught in foul. What is to restore? If we see our brothers fouling, we have to talk and guide him to repentance get back on track on the road again, because many falls for lack of understanding and are deceived by Satan. These will not be forgiven, live full of regrets and cannot find true peace. Always considering that for more spiritual we are exposed to be tempted, unless God sustains us, as men we can fall. So is the need to understand this. As brothers in Christ, we must seek with all our heart, that those who believe in the Lord grow to maturity for which the word teaches that we must achieve.
Beloved, these are duties that the word of God teaches us our brothers are responsibilities that we cannot avoid and which today are not always taught. This for the carnal mind is a difficult burden to carry, so we call these notes “Doctrine for new life in Christ” these are for those who were born again.
About the new life, are you living it? Because if you have died and been born again you have to live the new life in Christ, Ephesians 4:24.
The Lord says: “…unless one is born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God” (John 3:3)
I pray to the Lord in prayer, the Holy Spirit should make you understand this glorious truth of his word and discover all the beauty that this doctrine teaches moral order that, as children of God, shine out into the world.
I EMBRACE YOU IN THE LOVE OF JESUS
